Kyle "KP" Perkins
kmp

Position: CEO/President

Biography:
Kyle is the founder, CEO, President, and Lead Web Developer for Shadow Development Technologies, founder and Lead Developer for KP Labs, Inc, and the Lead Developer and Manager of ScrumIt.org. Even as a young child, Kyle sought past the usual "lemonade stand" model and decided to pursue a business of his own. At the age of eight, Kyle started selling Happy Rocks to the fellow customers of his dad's Hosta business. Throughout his childhood and into his teen/adult years, Kyle has always had a business mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit.

As a fellow Digerati and as the founder of Shadow Development Technologies, Kyle has been programming with web development since 2001, and his experience ranges from basic HTML to PHP and AJAX. He has been developing web applications as early as his high school years, including NetLink, which is a Content Management System with a visual page editor for the teachers of his school. His main goal is to make the Internet a better place for everyone.

Kyle picked up the nickname "KP" in his college years for the main reason of being acknowledged correctly the first time, instead of being confused with the many other Kyle's on campus. This nickname is also the idea for the name of the core development branch of Shadow Development, KP Labs, Inc.

His "Web Development" methods have worked for many clients, including Last Minute Productions at Western Carolina University, and have earned him the very first "Marketer of the Year" and the exclusive "Board Member of the Year" for the 2006-2007 year.

He was also recommended as the only student to join the Web Advisory Committee for Western Carolina University, and joined with the responsibility to improve Western's site, along with overseeing the sites for WCU's clubs and organizations.

As he says, "If there's one thing that I'm obsessed about, it's the web - and how to improve it." Kyle's passion for "a better internet for all" has been the source of many his web development projects and clients of today.
